Susan
Dawson-Cook has an M.S. in Geosciences from the University of Arizona
and a B.S. in Geology from Clemson University. An AFAA certified fitness
professional for more than 20 years, Susan teaches group exercise and
provides personal training services and swimming instruction to clients
at SaddleBrooke and the Miraval Arizona Resort and Spa.
Susan is a nationally ranked U.S.M.S. swimmer and holds three state
records in breaststroke for the 45-49 women. As a freelance writer,
Susan publishes many articles relating to health and fitness and competitive
swimming. She is an associate editor for Tail Winds magazine, a contributing
editor to American Fitness, and the travel expert for USMS Swimmer.
She is
currently seeking representation for her novel, The Sacred Stone,
a romantic adventure set in southern Peru.

released in March 2011 and is
now available for shipping.
Susan
is a professional member of the Society of Southwestern Authors (SSA),
the Tucson Women's writers, and a Tucson group of children’s book
writers a.k.a. South of the Gila Gang. Susan attends many local and
national writing conferences and received a professional development
grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts in 2005 toward her participation
in the Pacific Coast Children's writing workshop and in 2007 toward
her participation in the Prague Summer Program Creative Non-fiction
